The New Petrem Natural Gas Vehicle Service Station
allows refuelling of CNG-LNG
The new Petrem Figueres Sud Natural Gas Vehicle service station is located on Calle Corral Roig s/n, Santa Llogaia d’Alguema, Girona, very close to exit 4 of the AP-7, to the N-2A and the N-2, an arterial road that connects Madrid with the French border crossing in the municipality of La Jonquera, passing through towns such as Alcalá de Henares, Guadalajara, Zaragoza, Lérida, Barcelona and Girona.
The project has been made possible by the commitment to liquefied natural gas and compressed natural gas. The service station has a 98m3 vertical tank and has 2 LNG single-hose pumps, for refuelling lorries and heavy vehicles, and 2 CNG double-hose pumps, for refuelling cars, light vehicles and lorries. It should be noted that the design allows the filling-station to be easily expanded, with the possibility of having a maximum of 4 pumps to refuel liquefied natural gas (2 doubles + 2 singles) and a maximum of 6 pumps to refuel compressed natural gas (4 doubles + 2 singles). In terms of refuelling positions, Petrem Trucks Figueres Sud is currently considered the largest service station for lorries in Europe, with 30 lanes for simultaneously supplying Diesel A, Diesel B and Adblue.
The Petrem Figueres Sud refuelling station is open 24 hours a day, throughout the year and is freely accessible to all its customers, with payments being able to be made in cash or with any credit/debit card. It also offers other services such as a laundry, supermarket, free rest stop, showers etc.
Petrem’s new facility will allow its customers to enjoy all the environmental and economic advantages of using liquefied natural gas and compressed natural gas. CNG and LNG are clean, environmentally friendly fuels which lessen the environmental impact by reducing emissions of CO2, nitrogen oxides and fine particulates.
